Driving Theory Test App Privacy

This privacy notice explains how the GaelDev Driving Theory Test app handles information. The app does not require login or user accounts. Quiz progress and settings are stored locally on your device.
Data the app may collect
- Local data: quiz progress, bookmarks, and preferences saved on your device. Uninstalling the app removes this local data.
- Anonymous usage and diagnostics (optional): aggregated usage, crash reports, and performance metrics to improve stability and features.
- Device identifiers: platform/device identifiers used by analytics or crash reporting to de‑duplicate events.
- Purchase metadata: non‑card purchase information (product, timestamp, transaction IDs) processed by the app stores and/or RevenueCat to unlock content. Card details are never collected by GaelDev.
How we use this information
- To provide core functionality (save your progress and settings on your device).
- To process in‑app purchases and manage entitlements via the app stores/RevenueCat.
- To improve reliability, fix crashes, and prioritize enhancements.
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your data. Where services are provided by third parties (e.g. app stores, RevenueCat, analytics/crash reporting), data is processed according to their terms and privacy policies.
Your choices
- You can reset or remove local data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
- You can adjust analytics and tracking permissions in your device's OS privacy settings.
Legal basis and rights (GDPR)
We rely on legitimate interests to improve app stability and on contract to process purchases and provide requested features. You have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, and portability. To make a request, email info@gaeldev.ie.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for learners preparing for the driving theory test. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

- Analytics/crash reporting (optional): anonymous usage and diagnostics.
Changes
We may update this notice to reflect app changes or legal requirements. Continued use of the App after changes indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
